A low total can hide gaps. If a quote skips pitch raise, humidity checks, or action work, it may cost more later. Compare the scope first, then the price.
Service quote worksheet
Enter the services from up to three quotes. The worksheet matches the rows, totals the priced items, and shows what each quote leaves out.
Leave a price blank if the quote does not mention the service. Enter 0 only for a listed free item.

Some quotes charge per visit, while others price per string or per note. Convert them to a single fee before you enter the numbers. Write the basis in the notes if you are not sure.
A line that says "tuning and regulation" may combine two rows. Enter that price in the tuning row and mark regulation as not listed, then ask the technician to split it.
Saved history builds a record over time. Check it before the next visit to see when the piano was last tuned and which steps were done.
Maya bought a used upright for her apartment. Quote A was $120 for tuning. Quote B was $150 for tuning plus a pitch raise. Quote C was $180, with tuning, pitch raise, and a humidity check. Quote A looked cheapest, but the missing row showed two items it did not cover. Once Maya added the missing items to Quote A's price, the three quotes were close. She chose the one that included the humidity check because the piano sat near a radiator.
